
The benefits to doing yoga are many, here is a short list of some of these benefits: yoga increases flexibility in mind and body, increases lubrication of the joints, ligaments, and tendons, massages all of the organs of the body, lowers blood pressure, boosts the immune system, detoxifies the body, and boosts metabolism. Poses can be modified to accommodate injury and different body types.
My classes vary depending on ability and desired modality, but most of them incorporate breath work, intention setting, a full traditional practice of postures, and a final relaxation period. I enjoy applying light massage and relaxing aromatherapy during final relaxation if it is wanted. I am certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Kids Yoga, Pre-Natal, and Family.
